Zealous Over Zion Presentation Dance - YouTube

Shalom, Shalom, Dear Ones!

As the tension and danger escalates for friends in Israel due to satan's relentless demonic attack on the Land destined for Glory, my thoughts go to all the missing pieces in institutional church doctrine.

As always, the fire in my heart for Yeshua and for Israel flares up into a blaze as I remember the giant hole in the theology that most believers are taught, or better said, "not taught", in the vast majority of traditional Christian churches and gatherings.

My heart wants to burst, once again, as He compels me to proclaim His truth and His Word - "for Zion's sake I will not remain silent" (Isa. 62).

It won't take much research for you to uncover the truth that Israel is not mentioned in doctrines and creeds or even listed on websites of most Christian ministries or churches. Traditional church doctrine is not the whole gospel of the Kingdom. There will be a list of bullet points about "what we believe" but God's plans for Israel and the relevance of Israel are not mentioned.

I so believe this is why there is a lack of zeal and understanding about what God is doing in the earth today. The "church" needs a Messianic reformation in order to understand the prophetic era that is upon us. It's not recognizable without the Israel revelation.

Honestly, I don't know if I've ever seen anything about Israel listed under the "what we believe" of countless numbers of church websites I have visited. This goes for traditional, denominational, as well as charismatic, pentecostal and independent. It's as if the whole point of God's covenant with Israel is totally missing. And it's from this covenant that our Messiah springs forth to save and deliver the entire world!

God's plans for Israel and the Jewish people through the redemption of the blood of Messiah Yeshua determines the destiny of all mankind.  I am not going to attempt to explain the relevance of Israel in this short article or the fact that God Himself says that "Israel is the foremost of the nations" (Jer. 31) or that God Himself, Yeshua, is Jewish!  Or that all believers in Him are grafted into Israel and not the other way around (Rom.11)!

This is why I have experienced a real "disconnect" with the traditions and the incomplete doctrine of institutional Christianity.  I now prefer to identify as "Messianic" to acknowledge the Hebraic roots of my faith as a believer in the one true God, the God of Israel.  It is foundational truth.

This truth about Israel and our faith so matters - it's not just an interesting aspect of the faith called Christianity.  Israel is central to the faith of believers in Messiah Yeshua.  Israel is not just a "perimeter issue" or some kind of hobby or secondary interest.  God's covenant with Israel is the entire basis of our faith. Yeshua fulfills the covenant. He gives us the Land.  He brings us into eternity. He dwells in Zion.

A question to ask yourself - "is something missing from the foundational doctrine of my faith?". And then a question to ask the Lord, "Holy Spirit, will you teach me more about your plans for Israel and what this has to do with believing in Jesus?".  Would you make me one that declares your truth and prepares the way for the return of our King Yeshua to His throne in Jerusalem?

I know you will hear Him say that He is zealous over Zion and that we who say we belong to Him should be, too (Zech.8:1-3).

Blessings and love in our Messiah Yeshua,
Cathy
